How Tim Keller Sees Modern Social Justice Deviating from Gospel-Centered Justice

See the contrast between human justice and divine justice*

Tim Keller writes, "The postmodern view sees all injustice as happening on a human level and so demonizes human beings rather than recognizing the evil forces–"the world, the flesh, and the devil"–at work through all human life, including your own. Adherents of this view also end up being utopian — they see themselves as saviors rather than recognizing that only a true, divine Savior will be able to finally bring in justice."

* Divine justice can exist through Biblical peacemaking in the church, family, local governments/courts, schools, businesses and other institutions that acknowledge the Lordship of Christ, the leading of the Spirit and the love of God, the lawgiver. The process can start with leaders in these spheres affirming the sovereignty of God and the application of His Word through commitment to the Peacemaker's Pledge.
